Police have launched a homicide investigation after the body of a security guard at the School for Children with Special Needs, Kingstown was found on the campus with his throat slashed Tuesday morning. 

The deceased man has been identified as Garry Glasgow, 46, of Hospital Road, Kingstown and his body was found in the front section of the school at Fernside. 

Multiple sources who said that they saw the body told iWitness News that the throat appears to have been slashed.

Police are still processing the scene even as the principal and staff of the school as well as a senior education official wait outside the cordon.

Glasgow’s death is the second homicide in St. Vincent and the Grenadines this week and brings to 20 the number of homicides in the country this year.

Police are also investigating the death of Zeno Lee aka Sarge of Murray’s Village, who was shot and killed in the East Kingstown community on Sunday.

Investigators have said that Lee was shot and killed after a gunman entered a bar, accosted the patrons, and opened fire.

Lee died at the scene, while Enrique King, another adult male, sustained gunshot wounds to his right chest and his right arm. 

Additionally, Ronald Millington sustained a broken leg while fleeing the scene during the incident.

Lee is an older brother of Zenroy Lee aka Chucky, who was shot and killed in Murray’s Village on April 24.

  1. This is like a virus and spreading,nothing is been done.Don!t mind those do gooders,Ministers should crack down hard on these so called bad man and lock them away.Take a leaf from the Government of EL Salvador.
